What is Toastmasters?
Toastmasters is a network of clubs where people practise public speaking and leadership by doing. At International Speakers Lisbon, we meet in English to give speeches, receive feedback and learn together.
What happens at a meeting?
You will see prepared speeches, short impromptu speaking rounds called Table Topics, and constructive evaluations. Members also take on roles that help the meeting run. There is time to meet people and ask questions.
Do I have to speak on my first visit?
No. Come watch us in action. You are welcome to observe the whole meeting and take part only if you feel comfortable.
Is my first visit free?
Yes. Your first visit is free. Reserve a guest spot through our meeting page and come see the club for yourself.
How do I become a member?
Start by visiting a meeting. When you're ready to join, complete our membership application form. Our Vice President Membership will contact you to explain the next steps and answer your questions.
How much does membership cost?
Our Vice President Membership will share the current membership options and answer your questions. You can meet them at a club meeting before deciding whether to join.
